Foreign Relations Subcommittee Hearing

  • Ranking Member Rubio delivered opening remarks during a Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian Security, Democracy, Human Rights and Global Women’s Issues hearing addressing transnational criminal networks as well as rising crime and corruption in our hemisphere. 
  • Senator Rubio questioned Biden Administration officials on the threat of Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua and the importance of designating this group as a Transnational Criminal Organization.
  • Senator Rubio questioned State Department officials on the partnership with Mexico to stop the trafficking of drugs across the U.S. southern border.
