Polk County Republican Executive Committee
Who we are and what we do
The Polk County Republican Executive Committee (REC) is the governing body of the Polk County Republican Party. Membership is made up of Precinct Committeemen and Precinct Committeewomen, plus alternates who represent their voting precinct on the REC. The REC has one State Committeeman and one State Committeewoman who represent our REC to the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF). The RPOF in turn has a National Committeeman and Committeewoman who represent them at the Republican National Committee (RNC).
The REC organizes the party’s grassroots efforts to grow Republican ranks and elect Republicans to public office all across Polk County.
The REC leadership consists of a Board of Directors elected by the membership. The elected offices are Chairman, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. The State Committeeman and the State Committeewoman are elected during the Republican primary.
Polk County has 179 voting precincts and there is opportunity in almost all of them for additional Precinct Committeemen and Committeewomen or alternates.
