Neil Combee – Candidate for the District 5 seat on the Polk County Commission.

Meet Neil Combee:

“Polk County needs a no-nonsense County Commissioner who can get to work for the people on Day 1.

“I will work every day to keep taxes low for our families and small businesses, give our Sheriff’s Department and first responders the tools and resources they need to keep us safe, push to make critical infrastructure improvements and get Polk County moving in the right direction,” Combee, a Republican, said.

“As a life-long resident of Polk County, raising the 7th generation of my family here, our quality of life is the number one most important issue facing our residents.  My ultimate goal is to keep Polk County’s small-town feel, fight increases in cost of living and making certain nothing threatens our quality of life.”

Combee served in the state House from 2012 through 2017, when he resigned his District 39 seat to accept a presidential appointment to serve as Florida State Director of the USDA Farm Service Agency.

If successful, his newest venture would be a sort of homecoming — Combee served on the Polk County Commission from 1988 through 2004.
