LEGISLATIVE LANDING: RECAPPING IMPORTANT INITIATIVES FROM THE 118th CONGRESS Last week, we covered the Servicemember Employment Protection Act, a bill I introduced to protect civilian job security for our Reservists and Guardsmen. This week, learn more about steps I’ve taken to combat the threat of our chief adversary — Communist China.
COUNTERING THE CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY The Chinese Communist Party will stop at nothing to achieve global dominance. The CCP has worked to gain control of large sections of critical supply chains, infiltrate our national security apparatus and corrupt our education system. To hold the CCP accountable and counter their influence, I cosponsored H.R. 7476, the Countering Communist China Act. This bill was introduced in the House in February 2024 and awaits further action. UPCOMING APP CODING WORKSHOP Attention high school and middle school students: our office is hosting an app coding workshop at Florida Southern College on Saturday, September 21st from 9AM – 12PM. The workshop will cover app fundamentals and how to submit to the Congressional App Challenge. The competition deadline is October 24th at 12PM ET. Space is limited to the first 24 students. MOBILE OFFICE HOURS: WAUCHULA Our office can help with a variety of federal agencies including Social Security, IRS, the VA and more. TOURING THE U.S. CAPITOL Planning a visit to the nation’s capital? Our office can help secure tours of the U.S. Capitol and White House. Due to the high volume of requests, we strongly suggest tour requests be submitted at least three months in advance of the desired tour date. Click here to fill out our office’s tour form.
