Dear Fellow Floridian, Protecting the integrity of American elections begins with making sure only U.S. citizens can cast the votes that determine the future of our nation. Unfortunately, that is not guaranteed today. Texas just announced that it has removed 6,500+ non-citizens from its voter rolls, almost 2,000 of which illegally voted in past elections. Alabama and Virginia also announced earlier this month the removal of a combined 10,000+ non-citizens from voter rolls. This is a clear and present threat to our elections, but Democrats in Congress continue to deny the problem. In fact, they’ve ignored the problem since day one of the Biden-Harris administration when “Border Czar” Harris opened the floodgates to allow millions of illegal immigrants into our country. We cannot ignore this threat to our democratic process. I was proud to see my SAVE Act pass the House earlier this summer with bipartisan support, and have been fighting to get it done here in the United States Senate, but Senate Leadership and Democrats are dragging their feet every step of the way. That’s why I am demanding that when we pass a continuing resolution to fund the government in September, we include the SAVE Act as part of that funding bill. We cannot allow anything to undermine the integrity of our elections, and I won’t stop fighting to make sure your vote is protected and the Biden-Harris border crisis doesn’t rob you of your voice at the ballot box. Tomorrow will mark one month since González defeated Maduro at the polls, yet the Biden-Harris administration still refuses to recognize him as the president-elect and make clear that they stand in total unity with the people of Venezuela.
