Polk County Public Schools is seeking nominations for the District Advisory Council.
This is an opportunity to get involved in your local public education system and support our critical mission to provide a high-quality education to students, and prepare them for successful lives beyond the classroom.
The DAC is a volunteer group that serves in an important advisory role to the superintendent. Members will provide valuable insight and feedback to the superintendent on a variety of issues, including the development and implementation of the district’s strategic plan. They will also serve as a vital communication link between the district, schools and the community.
PCPS would like to tap a wide range of perspectives for the council’s membership, such as community members, business partners, faith-based leaders, parents, and school advisory council (SAC) representatives. DAC membership is limited and requires a yearly commitment of four quarterly meetings to participate.
Applications must be submitted no later than July 15, 2022.
