Fighting to Get our Economy Back on Track

According to a recent survey my team conducted with residents in our community, 64% of responders say they are concerned about increasing inflation and the current state of our economy. I want to make it clear that I hear your concerns, and I am fighting in Congress to strengthen our economy and reduce regulatory burdens on families and businesses.

My House Republican colleagues and I have passed commonsense legislation to get our economy back on track—like H.R. 3746, the Fiscal Responsibility Act—which would limit Washington’s out-of-control spending, lower taxes and costs for Americans, and return to an economy that puts America first. We must advance fiscally responsible policies that bring jobs back to America, put money back in the pockets of hardworking Americans, and scale back bureaucratic overreach. This is exactly what I’m fighting to do. To read more about my work in Congress to strengthen our economy for Floridians and Americans, visit my website .

Investigating July 13 Security Failures

One of my top priorities in Congress is ensuring transparency and accountability for our community and for the American people. Ever since our nation witnessed a catastrophic security failure last month that led to an assassination attempt on President Trump, I have been working hard to deliver answers as to how this occurred and how we will ensure it never happens again.

This week, my colleagues and I from the Task Force Investigating the Assassination Attempt of President Trump requested transcribed interviews and documents related to the planning, participation, and post-event actions from Butler, PA law enforcement. We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation, as well as providing transparency and delivering answers for Americans as we uncover the details of these events.

Hurricane Preparedness Tips

September is peak hurricane season and Florida Preparedness Month. The first step to ensuring you and your loved ones are ready for inclement weather is making a plan. You should create a list of important contacts, develop a meeting place, consider the needs of pets, children, and seniors, and update your families’ or businesses’ plan annually. Remember, disasters can strike at any time. Make sure you and your loved ones are ready—before it is too late. Check out my website for more tips on how to stay safe.

Supporting Local Veterans and Their Families

My team and I are always poised and ready to help local veterans, service members, and their families. This week, members of my staff attended the Tampa Bay Chamber’s Military Advisory Committee meeting, a discussion of family readiness and quality of life initiatives that ensure our Tampa Bay community is postured for defense growth. As your representative, I will always advocate for our military families and ensure that our service members, veterans, and loved ones are cared for.
