Working Hard to Serve YouI am excited to be back in Washington, D.C. working diligently over these next few weeks to wrap up the 118th Congress strong. Last week, my colleagues and I elected our new House leadership team, led by Speaker Mike Johnson, who will fight for commonsense, conservative values and legislation that puts the American people first. I’m looking forward to continuing to serve the people of Florida’s 15th District, not only over these final months, but for the next two years. It is an honor to serve you in Congress . As always, if my team or I may be of any assistance to you, please reach out to my Tampa office at (813) 393-5077 or my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 225-5626. You may also visit my website for more information and updates on my work in Congress. As always, my team and I are here to serve you. If you need help with a federal agency, please do not hesitate to reach out to my office at (813) 393-5077 or visit my website . Demanding Answers From FEMAAccording to reports from sources inside the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), at least 20 homes with pro-Trump campaign signs or flags were bypassed by relief workers after Hurricane Milton, as a result of guidance from a FEMA supervisor. Last week, my colleagues and I authored a letter to FEMA demanding answers and accountability following these revelations. We also requested assurances that those ‘skipped over’ for assistance get the help they need, and we are working to ensure accountability for those who seek to politicize the federal government. It feels like yesterday I was in their seats, looking forward to taking office and getting to work on behalf of the 15th District. I am grateful to have had the chance to share some insight with them, and I look forward to working alongside each of our new members next year! Restoring American Energy IndependenceAs part of our legislative agenda to put the American people first, my House Republican colleagues and I have a mission to bring energy dominance back to America. Last week, we passed H.R. 8446, the Critical Mineral Consistency Act, to support American energy production and end reliance on foreign adversaries for critical energy materials. We also passed H.R. 7409, the Harnessing Energy at Thermal Sources (HEATS) Act, which would expedite energy development and production involving non-federal lands to support American energy independence and help lower costs for families. Both of these bills take steps to secure our supply chain and bolster America’s competitiveness on the global stage. It is imperative to restore American energy independence to lower costs and bring relief to families and businesses. Take A Look at My Recent WorkSent a Letter to the Small Business Administration (SBA) Requesting Disaster Loan Program Funds : Last week, I joined my colleagues in urging the SBA to replenish funds for the SBA disaster loan program to help support business owners who were impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
