Political Violence Has No Place in America
I am grateful to hear that President Trump is safe and doing well. Thank you to the brave law enforcement officers who put their lives at risk to protect President Trump during the shocking event that occurred this weekend. I am heartbroken to hear that someone lost their life. I am praying for their family and also for those who were injured. Political violence has no place in our country .

Working to Ensure Safe and Secure Elections
Since 2021, Customs and Border Protection reported more than 9.6 million illegal immigrants have crossed U.S. borders. In some states, including in our nation’s capital, illegal immigrants can cast ballots in elections. Voting in the U.S. is a responsibility that should be reserved for American citizens only.
My House Republican colleagues and I are committed to protecting the integrity of our nation’s elections—and ensuring elections that all Americans can have confidence in. This is why we passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. The SAVE Act protects and preserves the right of American citizens to vote by requiring states to obtain proof of citizenship—in person—when registering an individual to vote. Congress is working to equip every state with the tools they need to ensure safe and secure elections.

I Will Always Stand Up for Freedom and Justice
Last week, the Committee on Homeland Security held a hearing examining the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) relationship with U.S. adversaries, including the communist regime of Cuba. I was troubled to learn of an unauthorized visit, led by TSA, of Cuban government officials to various sensitive security points here in the U.S. The safety of the American people should always remain at the forefront. I am committed to fighting for those who call Florida’s 15th District home, and I will always stand up for freedom and justice.

A Special Meeting on Capitol Hill
I visited with some very special members of Customs and Border Protection, the Transportation Security Administration, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Federal Protective Service last week! These dogs work alongside the courageous men and women in our K9 units who play a vital role in protecting our homeland day in and day out.
