With hurricane season in full swing, don’t miss Florida’s Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday going on now through September 6 — a perfect opportunity to stock up on essential supplies tax-free.

In Sarasota, a new Federal Disaster Recovery Center is now open at the Sarasota Christian Church to help those impacted by Hurricane Debby. The center offers one-on-one assistance with FEMA and SBA representatives. If you can’t get an answer from a federal agency in a timely fashion, or if you feel you have been mistreated, please do not hesitate to call my office at 941-499-3214 or send me an email  through my website. Our office will hold Mobile Office Hours at Sarasota Christian Church on Wednesday, August 28 from 11:00am-2:00pm. We are here to help ensure you receive the assistance you are entitled to receive following Hurricane Debby.

After the House unveiled a nearly 300-page report this week that outlines serious allegations against President Joe Biden and demonstrated he committed impeachable offenses, I’m urging Speaker Johnson to bring an impeachment vote to the floor. Read the report here .

Disaster Recovery Center Now Open in Sarasota

A Federal Disaster Recovery Center opened in Sarasota County at Sarasota Christian Church (2923 Ashton Road, Sarasota, FL 34231). Here, you can meet with FEMA and SBA representatives for one-on-one help with applications, navigating the agencies’ processes, and to answer your questions. Walk-ins are welcome. The SBA accepts appointments. Holding Biden Accountable—Ways and Means Committee Unveils Evidence of Impeachable Offenses

The House Judiciary, Oversight, and Ways and Means Committees have unveiled a nearly 300-page report that outlines serious allegations against President Joe Biden. The report demonstrated he committed impeachable offenses, including showing that over $27 million was paid to the Biden family and associates from the foreign governments of Ukraine, China, and Romania, and that the Biden family and associates leveraged Joe Biden’s government positions to obtain $8 million of “loans” that will never be paid back from donors. This corrupt and weaponized DOJ will never prosecute Joe and his family, yet they will stop at nothing to go after Democrats’ political enemy #1, Donald J. Trump. Only President Trump can restore faith in a broken justice system. As a member of the Ways and Means Committee, I am committed to ensuring that we hold the Biden family accountable for corruption and abuse of power. This report is a significant step in uncovering the truth and making sure that no one is above the law. I am urging Speaker Johnson to schedule an impeachment vote for Joe Biden, based on this damning report.

Cosponsoring the Bipartisan Stand with Israel Act

This week, I cosponsored the Stand with Israel Act, along with 27 other members on both sides of the aisle to combat anti-Israel bias at the UN. This is a critical piece of legislation that reinforces our unwavering support for Israel. The Act mandates the withholding of U.S. funding to any UN agency that attempts to expel, downgrade, suspend, or restrict Israel’s participation. This bill mirrors the existing prohibition on funding to UN entities that seek to elevate the status of the Palestinian Authority to that of a member state. By standing strong with Israel, we ensure that our foreign policy continues to reflect our commitment to our closest ally in the Middle East.

THE FLORIDIAN | Steube Leads Bipartisan House Campaign to Pass Disaster Tax Relief

“Congressman Greg Steube (R-FL) has mobilized a bipartisan group of nearly 100 lawmakers to pressure the US Senate into passing his Federal Disaster Tax Relief Act. Congressman Steube and 78 other legislators sent a letter to Senate leadership demanding the respective relief bill be brought to the senate floor for a vote after it passed the House 382-7.”
