Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court has ordered state election officials not to count mail-in and absentee ballots arriving in envelopes that are undated or incorrectly dated.
The Tuesday ruling came down a week ahead of the Nov. 8 midterm elections and is a victory for the RNC, among others, who filed a lawsuit in late October to force Pennsylvania to reject undated mail-in ballots.
Multiple GOP bodies filed the lawsuit including the Republican National Committee, the Pennsylvania Republican Party and the National Republican Congressional Committee.
The order from the court directs election boards to “refrain from counting” any undated by-mail ballots and directs officials to “segregate and preserve” them instead.
Acting Pennsylvania Secretary of State Leigh Chapman, an appointee of Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf and a respondent in the case, argued that voters could be too easily disenfranchised for writing incorrect dates or no dates at all on the ballots.
The GOP lawsuit argued that mail ballots without a valid date should not be counted because state law requires a voter to provide a date. The lawsuit asked the court to, at a minimum, order counties to segregate undated or incorrectly dated ballots.
Republicans also accused Ms. Chapman of not following a U.S. Supreme Court decision and the Pennsylvania General Assembly by ordering county election boards to tally undated mail-in ballots.
Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel called the ruling “a massive victory for Pennsylvania voters and the rule of law.”
“Following an RNC, NRCC, and PAGOP lawsuit, Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court has made clear that incorrectly dated and undated mail ballots can not be counted. Republicans went to court, and now Democrats and all counties have to follow the law,” she said.
The RNC is presently involved in 75 lawsuits related to election integrity in 20 states this cycle. The GOP has found success recently in two cases.
In Michigan, Republicans won a lawsuit against Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson for restricting the rights of poll challengers, while in North Carolina the GOP won a case against the State Board of Elections for restricting the rights of poll watchers.
Stay tuned.

Val Demings Voted Against Hurricane Relief After Irma & Maria

Val Demings this week said: “Floridians deserve better than a Senator who says he’d vote against Hurricane Ian relief.”

  • But that’s exactly what she did in 2017 and 2018 after Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

  • First Demings voted against tax relief for victims of Hurricanes Irma, Maria, and Harvey.

  • Then she voted against Senator Rubio’s bill Hurricane Maria Aid package which included billions of dollars in vitally-needed disaster relief funding for Puerto Rico.

  • Her fellow Democrat, Charlie Crist, supported both bills, which passed with bipartisan support.

The best indication of what Val Demings would do in the Senate is what she’s done for the past six years in the House.

  • Floridians can’t trust Demings to deliver resources to help Florida rebuild because she’s refused to do so in the past.

Senator Rubio has already requested supplemental aid, noting “a robust and timely federal response, including through supplemental programs and funding, will be required to ensure that sufficient resources are provided to rebuild critical infrastructure and public services capacity, and to assist our fellow Floridians in rebuilding their lives. These provisions must be made a priority and considered at the earliest opportunity.”

Miami Herald: Demings knocks Rubio for missing hurricane relief vote. She opposed some similar bills

Val Demings Uses ‘One of the Costliest Hurricanes in U.S. History’ to Raise Campaign Funds

Free Beacon reports: Demings on Wednesday released a campaign video that highlights Hurricane Ian’s “staggering scale of wreckage.” “Death toll in Florida soars after Hurricane Ian demolished entire communities,” one chyron in the video reads. “Ian may be one of the costliest hurricanes in U.S. history,” another says. But that “wreckage” did not stop Demings from attaching a fundraising link to the video, which directs viewers to an ActBlue page that asks for “a generous grassroots donation right now to help my people-powered movement flip Florida blue and expand Democrats’ Senate majority.”

  • The Demings campaign’s use of the hurricane as a fundraising ploy is shameful. Florida deserves better.

Meanwhile, Senator Rubio has been on the ground in Florida, meeting with state and local officials to determine what resources are needed at the federal level.

Demings: ‘Borders for me, but not for thee’

Fox News reports that Demings lives in a “24-hour guarded gated community complete with walls separating the neighborhood from others” despite being opposed to the border wall.

This comes after Demings told MSNBC host Joy Reid, “No, we do not have open borders,” egregiously lying to the American people when nearly five million people have crossed the border during Biden’s presidency.

Demings has a history of voting for open borders and against keeping Americans safe from drug trafficking, human trafficking, and gang violence.

Demings voted for:

  • Amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants, saying it would “make our immigration system fair” despite giving an unfair advantage to those who came here illegally.

  • Sending pandemic stimulus checks to illegal immigrants.

  • Giving illegal immigrants the right to vote.

  • Funding to sanctuary cities.

  • A pathway to citizenship for gang members.

  • The Biden Administration’s move to end Title 42, which gives border patrol the ability to turn away illegal immigrants.

Demings Opposes:

  • The border wall, calling it “an absurd waste of money.”

  • Providing border agents with much-needed resources to do their jobs.

  • President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency at the border, calling the border crisis “nothing new” and a “seasonal thing.”

  • Informing ICE when an illegal immigrant attempts to purchase a gun.

Their reporting also found that “The gated community that Demings — who is opposed to voter identification laws and cosponsored the Democrats’ voting overhaul bill — lives in requires visitors to show their ID to enter.”

Axios: U.S. sets record with more than 2 million encounters at Mexico border

Team Marco Video: Val Demings is Lying About the Border Crisis

  • Val Demings votes with Pelosi and for Biden’s agenda 100% of the time and with the Socialist Squad 94% of the time.

  • She went to Washington and abandoned her brothers and sisters in blue, embracing the Left’s vilification of those who protect Florida communities – calling defunding the police “thoughtful” and violent riots a “beautiful site” while auditioning to be Biden’s VP.

  • Demings hasn’t passed any meaningful legislation in her six years in the House.

  • Demings has supported every piece of Biden’s disastrous agenda that has resulted in skyrocketing inflation, a historic crisis at the border, and rising crime.

  • Marco Rubio is a principled, effective senator who gets things done for Florida.

  • Marco has had more bills signed into law under a Democrat president and Congress than Demings has in her six years in Washington.

  • Marco understands the challenges working families are facing today because his family has faced them, too.

  • Marco believes that now more than ever we need to fight to preserve our American values, and he will continue his work to protect our individual liberties.

Rubio Accomplishments

  • Created the Paycheck Protection Program at the beginning of the pandemic, saving over half a million Florida small businesses and six million Florida jobs.

  • Doubled the Child Tax Credit for working families, which was proven to benefit lower income communities in particular.

  • Created accountability at the Department of Veterans Affairs and made it possible for veterans exposed to toxic burn pits to get the care they need.

  • Made important headway on Everglades restoration efforts, driving historic levels of federal funding to improve water quality and manage invasive species, leading the New York Times to call him “the national park’s most vigorous champion in the Senate”.

  • Expanded treatment options for children battling cancer.

  • Successfully protected Florida’s low income housing tenants from slumlords.

Voting in SW Florida post Hurricane Ian

Voting in SW Florida post Hurricane Ian

Many of you have asked about what impact Hurricane Ian will have on our elections. Since there is such interest I wanted to share that today, the Governor announced an executive order that makes adjustments for impacted counties by Hurricane. Keep in mind these are similar to the measures implemented in 2018 and while total votes were down in those impacted counties, we increased our Republican margins in Bay and Okaloosa counties. Please find below a release on the Governor’s actions: Two weeks ago, Hurricane Ian made landfall as a powerful Category 4 storm on Florida’s southwestern coast, destroying many homes and businesses and dislocating tens of thousands of Floridians. At the request of the Supervisors of Elections in Charlotte, Lee, and Sarasota counties, and at the recommendation of Secretary of State Cord Byrd, the Governor signed Executive Order 22-234, which will help ensure adequate access to Florida’s 2022 General Election ballot for the voters of Charlotte, Lee, and Sarasota counties. The Governor’s Executive Order includes provisions authorizing the Supervisors of Elections in Charlotte, Lee, and Sarasota counties to:
  • Extend the number of days for early voting and designate additional early voting locations. The early voting period may begin as early as Monday, October 24, 2022, and can extend through Election Day, November 8, 2022.
  • Allow voters in Charlotte, Lee, and Sarasota counties to request by phone that their vote-by-mail (VBM) ballot be mailed to an address other than their address of record. Voters must still provide an appropriate form of identification in the same manner as absent uniform service and overseas voters.
  • Designate and provide notice of the locations for secure ballot intake stations and relocate and consolidate polling locations as necessary.
  • Increase the pool of eligible poll workers who may serve within Charlotte, Lee, and Sarasota counties by making eligible any poll workers previously trained for the 2020 election cycle and thereafter and by encouraging state employees to serve as poll workers in these counties.
Governor DeSantis also directed all state agencies to render aid and assistance as needed by the Supervisors of Elections in Charlotte, Lee, and Sarasota counties. Secretary Byrd and the Department of State assessed the need for these provisions based on extensive outreach to Florida’s Supervisors of Elections:
  • Secretary Byrd and the Division of Elections leadership conducted continuous outreach and assessed the needs and readiness of counties in or around Hurricane Ian’s path, including: Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, DeSoto, Dixie, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, Taylor, and Volusia counties. Secretary Byrd also personally visited the hardest hit areas, including Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Lee, Hardee, and Sarasota counties to meet with their Supervisors of Elections in-person.
  • Furthermore, Secretary Byrd participated in discussions with the Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE). The FSE is a nonprofit association representing the Supervisors of Elections from all of Florida’s 67 counties.
  • Lastly, since Hurricane Ian made landfall, numerous Supervisors of Elections have publicly addressed their readiness, and thankfully most have very publicly stated that Ian’s impacts will not interfere with their duties. This is a testament to the resiliency of Florida’s elections system.
Based on the collective feedback of the Supervisors of Elections across the state and at the written requests of the Supervisors of Elections in Charlotte, Lee, and Sarasota counties, Secretary Byrd recommended that the Governor take the actions outlined in Executive Order 22-234. “In the wake of Hurricane Ian, the Florida Department of State has worked with Florida’s Supervisors of Elections and Governor DeSantis to ensure that the 2022 General Election is administered as efficiently and securely as possible across the state and in the counties that received the heaviest damage,” said Secretary Byrd. “Florida will continue to lead the way in elections administration in 2022, and I am grateful for and confident that our local elections officials will have all of the resources and support they need to run another successful election.”

BREAKING: DeSantis Announces 20 Arrests for Voter Fraud

BREAKING: DeSantis Announces 20 Arrests for Voter Fraud

Republican Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has announced the arrest of 20 individuals who have been charged with voter fraud.

“These folks voted illegally,” DeSantis explained. “They are disqualified from voting because they have been convicted of either murder or sexual assault.”

“The majority of these people illegally voted in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Dade although there are others in other parts of the state,” Governor DeSantis said.

“I don’t think there’s any place in the country where you should have more confidence that your vote counts than in the State of Florida,” DeSantis said.

In April, DeSantis signed a landmark election integrity legislation and created an Office of Election Crimes and Security under Florida’s State Department.

This new office reviews and investigates allegations of voter fraud.

“You can have all these great policy reforms and it’s important to do it, but if it’s not actually enforced, then what difference is it gonna make at the end of the day?” DeSantis asked.

“The fact of the matter is, if there are certain rules and regulations in place, if people don’t think that those are gonna be enforced, you’re gonna have more violations. That’s just the way it goes,” he said.

“We want to make sure we have laws in place and we want those laws to be enforced,” DeSantis continued. “The state of Florida has charged and is in the process of arresting 20 individuals across the state for voter fraud.”

“Although there are others in other parts of the state, these folks voted illegally. In this case, and there’s gonna be other grounds for other prosecutions in the future, they are disqualified from voting because they’ve been convicted of either murder or sexual assault and they do not have the right to vote. They have been disenfranchised under Florida law,” he said.

“Now they’re gonna pay the price for it. So they will be charged. They are being charged and arrested today with election fraud. This is a third degree felony in the state of Florida,” he said.

“To have somebody who is clearly an illegal felon voting and yet they did it and nothing happened until we stepped in with this new office, until we said this is something that we take seriously, now, this is only one class of voters that we know have violated the law,” he said, adding that there are ongoing investigations “into people that have voted in two different jurisdictions.” DeSantis added.

A message from Bill Olsen, Republican Candidate for FL House District 51

Friends and neighbors,

My name is Bill Olson. I live in Davenport Florida, where I retired after serving 27 years in the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class. It is my great honor to be on the ballot to become your representative in Northern Polk County. Redistricting created a new House of Representatives District #51. I had the great honor of being your Republican nominee during the 2020 election for Florida’s 9th Congressional District.

Though I don’t usually talk about my military record, I think it’s important for my neighbors to understand my extensive experience. During my career I received four Army Achievement Medals, the Army Commendation Medal, and two Meritorious Service Medals – all for outstanding peacetime service. During wartime service I was awarded an additional Army Commendation Medal for my meritorious service in liberating Kuwait during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. In 2008 I was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for exceptionally meritorious service during the global war on terror in Afghanistan.

After retiring from the U.S. Military, I went to work for Disney Parks as an attraction host and Guest Services cast member. I live with my wife Lienhuong, who is a naturalized American citizen of Vietnamese descent. She is an accomplished fashion designer. We share four sons: Billy, Erik, Tyler, and Nấm.

Foundational Philosophy

This election is not about me! It is about ”We the People”. I’m not a politician. I don’t have a law degree. I earned my education in the Cold War frontiers of Germany and South Korea, as well as the battlefields of Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Experiencing the horrors of war, death, and destruction – and the chaos and turmoil it brought America – was moving and saddening. I think it gives me a unique perspective on the greatness of America! I’m running to fight for American greatness, American peace, and American pride.

In this campaign I won’t be resorting to personal attacks on my opponent. I follow Reagan’s 11th commandment, and won’t ‘speak ill of another Republican’. Win or lose, I believe in integrity.

Here’s where I stand. I am a Christian conservative. You and I might come from different backgrounds, or live different lives. But I will always work hard to understand your needs and represent you with fairness and dignity.

My guide stones? The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Holy Bible. Those texts remind us of where we came from. They detail the tyranny we faced, and overcame. They enumerate our God-given rights, and acknowledge that the role of government is to protect those rights. They make us a moral people. It would be my great honor to represent you here in Florida’s 51st district! If you would like to find out more information please visit my website at

God bless America!
